In the <a href=\"https:\/\/fii-institute.org\/publication\/healthy-humanity-blueprint-report\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/fii-institute.org\/publication\/healthy-humanity-blueprint-report\/\">Healthy Humanity Blueprint Report<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/healthyhumanity.fii-institute.org\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/healthyhumanity.fii-institute.org\/\">Initiative<\/a>, FII Institute research shows that 70-80% of chronic disease is linked to lifestyle and prevention, while every USD 1 invested in prevention can generate up to USD 6 in economic benefit. As genomics and biologics advance, prevention is moving closer to the center of the healthcare model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gokce also drew attention to the role of regulation in accelerating or slowing development. <em>\u201cIn China, you can develop drugs for between USD 300 million to USD 1 billion. In the US, you can\u2019t do that for less than USD 2 billion,\u201d<\/em> he said, adding that phase one work in China could move at a fraction of the cost and time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If biotech raised questions about how far science can go, the MIT Solve session focused on who gets to shape the direction of AI. Marking a new partnership with FII Institute around the third edition of the FII Innovators Pitch, launched at the session, MIT Solve used the platform to spotlight entrepreneurs building AI solutions in health, sustainability, education, and robotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"712\" src=\"https:\/\/fii-institute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_5668-1024x712.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fii-institute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_5668-1024x712.webp 1024w, https:\/\/fii-institute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_5668-300x209.webp 300w, https:\/\/fii-institute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_5668-768x534.webp 768w, https:\/\/fii-institute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_5668-1536x1068.webp 1536w, https:\/\/fii-institute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_5668-2048x1424.webp 2048w, https:\/\/fii-institute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_5668-scaled.webp 2560w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hala Hanna, Executive Director of MIT Solve, framed AI as a human and institutional challenge. <em>\u201cArtificial intelligence, just like every major technological shift, starts with a story about machines, but really it\u2019s always a story about people,\u201d<\/em> she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She argued that many of the most relevant innovators are building in markets that global capital still struggles to price correctly. <em>\u201cIf you want to find the entrepreneurs that are working closest to the world\u2019s biggest problems [\u2026] they\u2019re in Nairobi, Bogota, Istanbul, Dakar,\u201d<\/em> she said. \u201c<em>Proximity to the problem is a form of expertise that no McKinsey deck can really capture.
